I will overwhelm 'legitimate boxer' Paul - Anthony Joshua
Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua said he will "stamp all over" the American and "break" his opponent as the combatants met personally to build hype for the upcoming boxing match.
Ex two-time unified boxing king Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth disparity - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Fighter's Attitude
"I'm going to break his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove my superiority," the British boxer, 35, said.
"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.
"I intend to genuinely try to injure him. That's what I want to do."
Civil Interaction
In spite of those words, a composed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally known for his dramatics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul rather targeted former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "ridiculous" after Ngannou turned down a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, criticized British rival Fury - and rejected a large bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] outshines Fury - he showed up," Joshua said.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Opponent
Despite saying he intends to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he said.
Jake Paul's History
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought MMA fighters or faded names since entering professional boxing.
He lost to Briton Fury in last year.
Financial Success
However, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's largest commercial attractions, regularly earning substantial paydays.
Prediction and Belief
The 28 year old forecast a stoppage in rounds four or five and stated he would prevent the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly being planned for two years from now.
"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.
Physical Disparity
As Joshua and Paul met for the customary face-off, with their height and weight contrast on show, it emphasized just how improbable this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the match is truly proceeding.
